How mobile and laptop screen affects to your child’s brain.

  • Are mobile and laptop screens affecting your child’s brain? *
Nowadays, smartphones, tablets and other electronic devices that run on the Internet come into the hands of children from birth. The majority of parents themselves attract their children to these things and when they stick to it, the same parents later worry that the child’s eyesight may not be affected. However, most of the screen exposure can affect not only vision but also brain function and development.

Researchers at the US National Institutes of Health recently released a study based on preliminary data from The Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development. The study included 11,000 9- to 10-year-olds in 21 locations across the United States. Here are two major results.

1.* MRI scans of children who used to play smartphones, tablets or video games for more than seven hours a day showed a clear difference in the brains of some children.

2.* Children who spent more than two hours a day in front of the screen, their thinking comprehension and language test came to a low score.

Brain scans showed that children who watched too many screens had premature thinning of the cerebral cortex. In brain functions, the function of this membrane is to work on different types of information from the senses.

  • Can ScreenTime be blamed for this error? *
Dr. Alan Selkey, Adolescent Medicine Physician, Children’s Hospital, Michigan The study found that two things were happening at the same time, but it is difficult to say whether they were affecting each other. For example, children who spend a lot of time in front of a screen lose their academic performance, but it may also be that children who have difficulty completing certain tasks may be exposed to the screen for some reason spend more time in front.

If this difference is revealed after a brain scan of some children, then the question arises as to whether the brain membrane was being affected due to these changes or the child was more inclined towards the screen due to the membrane being affected.

The answer to this question will come out in the next few years, and more questions are expected to be answered Spending time in front of the screen can be called intoxication or not.

Regardless of the problem of changing the brain of children by sitting mostly in front of the screen, experts have found through various studies that this habit is causing problems such as obesity and sleep disorders in children as new things like That Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat and other games apps are coming up. The duration of children’s screen time is increasing. Sleep disturbances and depression are becoming more common, especially at night, and experts are concerned that electronic devices may not melt people’s brains.
According to The Journal of the American Medical Association, children use mobile phones Mental abilities are being affected, and they are at great risk. Although brain cancer data has not yet been verified, scientists have discovered that if children use mobile phones, it can affect their ability to learn, and can even lead to behavioral problems. Even in the classroom, their mood and ability can be affected, especially if they use mobile phones during breaks. Parents allow mobile phones to take children to school, where they play games, spend more time with friends on social media and chatting apps, and even text each other while they are studying. Due to which they cannot concentrate on important lectures and so they fall behind in their studies.
